Welsh business leading the way in vehicle tracking sector
Quartix, one of the UK’s fastest growing automotive technology companies, achieved record profits and sales during the last financial year. The innovative Newtown-based team, which specialises in vehicle tracking systems, has announced a 71 per cent increase in sales with pre-tax profits rising by an impressive 95 per cent.
Over 600 UK companies, ranging from leading stock market-listed corporations through to owner-managed businesses, use Quartix’s unique vehicle tracking technology to lower their fuel and running costs, achieve faster and more responsive delivery times, keep their vehicles more secure as well as fulfilling increasingly important health and safety responsibilities.
Arriva Vehicle Rental, one of the country’s most successful vehicle rental businesses, has also just selected Quartix’s real time tracking technology as its new TrackTech system which is now available across all vehicles through Arriva Vehicle Rental’s national network of 38 offices.
"The Quartix team achieved excellent levels of growth in 2004 and we’re obviously delighted with the overall progress we’ve made since launching the business only four years ago" said Quartix director Andy Kirk. "The first few months of this year have also been extremely encouraging and we hope to announce another very significant business partnership in the near future."
According to Andy Kirk, the Newtown company’s policy of offering its customers a highly reliable and extremely user-friendly way to track their vehicles has been a major reason for the big increase in sales:
"We harness the power of Satellite, Internet and Mobile Communications technologies but what our customers receive is a very straightforward way to manage their cars, vans or even HGVs. Customers can start tracking vehicles from the moment our system is installed and every feature is accessible with literally a few clicks of the mouse. What we’re delivering is a great deal of functionality but in a comprehensible and very easy to use package."
