Heritage Decries BBC's Mini Murder

Published: 31st August 2005

There has been a swift reaction to the violent murder of a Mini on the BBC1 TV program "The Truth About Killer Dinosaurs", presented by Bill Oddie on Sunday evening Aug 28th. Viewers saw a defenceless Mini savaged by a robotic simulated Tyrannosaurus Rex.

David Bishop, Managing Director of British Motor Heritage Limited of Witney commented: "Even a robotic T.Rex aught to pick on something more its own size. It was horrible to see that poor little Mini mangled like that. Mind you, we believe that it could be brought back to life quite easily because we can supply the correct original bodyshell, and many other components, to make it as good as new. We can offer the BBC excellent terms for these parts. In fact, we will make an offer to any original owner that if they should suffer an attack by a genuine Tyrannosaurus Rex; we will supply a free replacement bodyshell - can’t say fairer than that!"
