Diesel Petrol Forecourt Errors Eliminated

What could your next tank of fuel cost?
How does £7,000 sound? That is what it cost for a Range Rover diesel engine tank of petrol put in by error. And it need never have happened it could be prevented - permanently.

Only the diesel filler needs to change, the petrol fillers remain as they are. Then the worst you can do with a petrol car is to put unleaded fuel into an older car- not a fatal or expensive error, if not done regularly. The DD nozzle will prevent diesel fuel being put into the older petrol cars
You will need to ask your diesel vehicle supplier and manufacturer why the possibility for you to make this simple but expensive error is still designed into your vehicle and point out the availability of the remedy.

The LOGO says it all. The red circle is the current filler shape and size of both the lead replacement petrol nozzle AND the Diesel nozzle. The green circle is the smaller lead-free petrol nozzle. This means you can put diesel fuel into the lead replacement petrol vehicle, but worse, either type of petrol into any diesel vehicle. In the UK alone, several hundred thousand misfuellings take place each year, wasting expensive fuel and often causing expensive damage and environmental problems in waste fuel disposal.
If you replace the diesel filler/nozzle with oval Diesel Director nozzle, shown blue:-
- The oval diesel nozzle is too wide to enter either of the petrol
fillers- and the oval diesel filler in the vehicle is too to allow
either petrol nozzle to enter.
- You no longer rely on warning notices, colour codes. (When did
a red traffic light ever actually stop a vehicle?) No electrics,
battery replacement, no moving parts. Replacement diesel filler
pipes could be made available for pre-DD vehicles. Filler pipes
are small items often routinely replaced if becoming corroded
in use. For the vehicle manufacturer- a virtually zero-cost option
but major customer benefit.
- For the forecourt operator- a virtually zero-cost option, progressive
nozzle substitution, reduced problems and the same major custom
benefits.
- For the subscription vehicle recovery services- a major reduction
in call-outs, reduced costs.
- For the vehicle owner/user- complete avoidance of an expensive inconvenient problem, being experienced by an ever increasing number of drivers.
