Do You Have What It Takes Behind The Wheel To Beat World's Leading F1 Superstar?
Published: 8th November 2005
David Coulthard tests his M-IQ and enters nationwide competition to claim 'Britain's Cleverest Driver' title.
eBay Motors - the UK's leading online automotive site - has teamed up with Mensa to devise the world's first motoring intelligence test, M-IQ.
Launched today (Monday, 7th November) the test challenges British drivers to show off their motoring knowledge and vie for a podium position against F1 superstar, David Coulthard. Coulthard, the first to take the test, headed straight into pole position with a score of 34. However, he didn't answer all questions correctly, so there's a chance for other drivers to beat him to 1st place on the leader board!
Commenting on his M-IQ experience, David Coulthard said: "I feel at home in the driving seat but have to say, taking the M-IQ felt more like a hot seat! My F1 driving experience gave me the edge on the driving trivia and mechanical-based questions so fingers crossed I've done enough to ward off other drivers and stay on top of the M-IQ leader board."
For anyone who's ever watched Formula 1 and thought 'I could do that', or would like to beat Coulthard to claim the title of Britain's Cleverest Driver, the M-IQ is the perfect opportunity to show off and see what you're really capable of.
So don't delay. Take the test by logging onto www.ebaymotors.co.uk/miq . And if you have the drive of your life and post a high score on the leader board, you can challenge your friends to beat your score.
The ebay M-IQ test is the first of its kind, combining questions on all aspects of driving, mechanical and highway code knowledge with Mensa motoring themed questions on logic and mental arithmetic.
Everyone who enters will be classified according to their final score. Categories include:
1. "Motoring Genius"
2. "Middle of the Road Driver"
3. "Sunday Driver"
4. "L Plate Driver "
M-IQ will run on www.ebaymotors.co.uk/miq from Monday 7th November until midnight on Sunday 20th November. The person with the top score on the leader board will win £3,000 to spend on cars, motorbikes, parts and accessories on eBay Motors. Everyone who enters will be put into a prize draw to win one of five £100 prizes to spend on www.ebaymotors.co.uk.
