Ace Cafe London Celebrates 'Car Enthusiast Of The Year' Award

Published: 22nd September 2005

Mark Wilsmore, owner of the famous Ace Café on London’s North Circular Road, is opening its doors this Saturday, 24 September to celebrate his ‘Meguiar’s UK Car Enthusiast of the Year 2005’ award with a special party at the venue.

Mark beat 25 other nominees to the honour because of his tireless work to restore the Ace Café to its original 1950s condition and, in doing so, making it a magnet for bikers and car enthusiasts once again. Ace Café reopened in 2001, allowing motoring enthusiasts of all types to experience the heyday of rock n’ roll and celebrate music and machines that have since become regarded as classics.

The award was conferred by an independent panel of 12 respected automotive journalists specially brought together by Meguiar’s, the leading manufacturer of automotive surface care products in the UK, United States and Australia.

The celebrations will begin at 6pm on Saturday 24 September, with special guest, Mayor of the London Borough of Brent, Councillor Colum Moloney. Anyone is welcome to attend the event.
