Used Car Auction

As a supporting partner of Red Nose Day 2009, Kia Motors (UK) Limited has been really getting into the spirit of doing 'Something Funny for Money' and last week Kia dealers from all around the UK auctioned off their 'pimped' Part-Ex's at BCA's Measham centre.

A total of 15 cars were 'tweaked, tuned and pimped' by Kia dealers and offered for sale on 6th March 2009. BCA's buyer customers dug deep and brought every car on offer, raising £7,400 for the charity. With BCA donating its services to sell the cars, all the funds raised went into the Red Nose Day coffers.

Among the lots were a 1996 'Nissan Love Machine' and even a Kia Pride but the top seller was Benfield Motors 'Fiat Tiger' which raised a whopping £1,700.

Paul Philpott, Managing Director Kia Motors (UK) Limited commented; "I'm really proud of all those who took part. Red Nose Day is all about a positive change through the power of entertainment and our Kia dealers very much embraced this mission with the pimped part-ex event! Not to mention the fact that they were up against other Kia dealers to see who made the most profit at auction last Friday, so it was a matter of pride at the end of the day!"

BCA General Manager- Corporate Sales Craig Purvey commented "Well done to the Kia dealers for 'Pimping' their part-ex's and producing some marvellous creations and also to our buyers, who supported the sale and bid so strongly. There was a great atmosphere in the auction hall and a round of applause as every car sold."
