Pacenotes And Pearls

Richard Burns was an inspiration to people within the world of rallying and beyond while his memory lives on in the Richard Burns Foundation.

And for 2008, women involved in all aspects of rallying have joined forces for the Pacenotes & Pearls charity calendar to raise money for the foundation.

Calendar stars include the world’s greatest ever female rally driver Michel Mouton, WRC co-driver Gemma Price, Natalie Barrett and Pauline Gullick.

Personalities also include the likes of Alyson Marlow, Holly Robinson, Toni Kelly and Becky Kirvan together with a supporting cast of photographers, organisers and make-up artists. Innes Marlow, himself a former rally driver photographed the rally girls while Somerley House in Ringwood and DeVere New Place in Hampshire provided the location shoot.

With a limited run of just 2,000 copies the calendar is available to order now - and costs just £10 plus p+p.

Calendar organiser Paula Alderman is the mastermind behind the calendar and said she was delighted that so many people wanted to be involved.

“Richard has inspired so many people and everyone I contacted to be involved in producing the calendar jumped at the chance,’’ said Paula.

“Drivers, co-drivers, technicians and rally co-ordinators are all featured in the calendar which sees the women photographed a world away from rallying - but with some sporty touches!’’

Calendars cost £10 plus p+p and can be ordered by logging onto www.pacenotesandpearls.co.uk
