A Classic Opportunity10 February 2005
New entry-level membership package makes joining Parc Ferme Experience more affordable than ever.
If you want to drive classic cars, but don’t want the financial outlay of owning them, the new entry-level membership package from Parc Ferme Experience is the answer to your dreams. Members of Parc Ferme Experience enjoy exclusive access to a selection of not one automotive classic, but a selection of 11 fully maintained, ready-to-go automotive icons including two stunning Rosso red Ferraris (328 GTS and 246 GT Dino), a Porsche 911 (993) Cabriolet and a 3.4 Jaguar Mk II.
In return for a one-off joining fee of £750 and the new entry-level annual subscription of just £1,950, a member is allocated 500 points to lavish on the fleet as he or she sees fit. The more exotic the car, the more points it commands, but the average member should be rewarded with around 27 days of trouble-free classic driving per year. Other annual fee options include £2,450 for 850 points and £2,950 for 1,200 points. Additional points can also be purchased in blocks of 50 for £200 allowing even more days of classic driving pleasure. Membership allows two drivers, making it ideal for family use or for sharing between two classic car enthusiast friends.
Other cars in Parc Ferme Experience’s mouth watering fleet of classics include: a Mini Cooper; Jaguar V12 E-Type Roadster; Aston Martin DB6; Pagoda-topped Mercedes 280SL and MG TD, plus a couple of more modern automotive masterpieces - a Nissan Figaro and Mercedes CLK 230 Cabriolet.
Those seeking to get a taste of Parc Ferme Experience before they join can enjoy a day’s membership for only £295 - also ideal as a very special present for a classic car lover, or anyone who would enjoy a drive down memory lane.
Commencing in April, the taster days ensure enthusiasts are spoilt for choice by offering the chance to sample the exclusive benefits of joining Parc Ferme Experience. Participants get to drive a minimum of five motoring icons, while exploring Surrey, Oxfordshire and Berkshire on a specially designed route.
The cost of the taster day includes morning coffee and afternoon tea at the Great Fosters country house hotel near Egham, as well as a sumptuous lunch. The fee is fully redeemable against the cost of annual membership to Parc Ferme Experience and navigator places - ideal for partners or friends - are also available for an additional £100.
Additional benefits of joining Parc Ferme Experience include the choice of subscription to one of several lifestyle magazines, membership of the National Trust or Royal Horticultural Society, or a family day out at Brooklands. Parc Ferme Experience also offers the opportunity for members to come together for social functions and events such as the Goodwood Festival of Speed, Goodwood Revival and the Cartier polo tournament at Windsor, in addition to activities with car clubs, such as Porsche Club GB.
