Heritage Says - Please Fill In Those Forms!

British Motor Heritage Limited, the independent British classic car parts company, is putting its full support behind the FIVA/FBHVC survey.

FIVA (Federation Internationale des Vehicules Anciens), the European-wide organisation that works to protect the freedom to use historic vehicles, is co-ordinating a survey across ten European countries to gather key economic data on the historic vehicle movement.

In the UK, this survey is being managed by the Federation of British Historic Vehicle Clubs (FBHVC). Survey forms are being sent to all members of the 350 clubs within the FHBVC, and to UK based companies that supply parts and services of all kinds to historic vehicle enthusiasts.

Neil Morrick, Chairman of British Motor Heritage commented:-

"We are delighted that FIVA and FBHVC are undertaking this survey, as we believe that it will generate many benefits for the entire historic vehicle movement. The FBHVC carried out a UK survey in 1997, which provided powerful ammunition in the fight to prevent old cars being legislated off the road in Britain. This new survey will provide up to date information across Europe, which is particularly important in dealing with proposed EU legislation that could affect us all.

The survey will also provide general guidance to all those companies, like ourselves, who need to make the right investment decisions for the future supply of parts and services. We will be giving strong encouragement to all our UK-based Heritage Approved Specialists to participate in the survey."
