Morgan Motor Company has appointed Parkgate Garages of Belfast to sell its famous range of hand-built sports cars. The appointment is the latest in a series of dealer developments following an upsurge of interest in the British marque across Europe, driven by the launch of the stunning, aluminium-intensive Aero 8 supercar in 2000 and the company’s subsequent renaissance on the international GT racing circuit.

Commenting, Philip Kennedy, Dealer Principal, said: "This is a really exciting new opportunity for us and our customers. We are very proud to be chosen to represent the illustrious Morgan brand in Northern Ireland. There are a lot of people here who appreciate the unique craftsmanship and care that goes into every Morgan, and with a new entry level car selling at £22,000, Morgan ownership is now within reach for as little as £199 per month."

Parkgate will retail the full Morgan range - the entry level ‘Runabout’ 1.8 litre 4/4, standard 4/4 and Plus 8 models in both 2 and 4 seater variations, and the 4.4 litre Aero 8.

Recent major investments at Morgan’s factory in Malvern have helped to almost eliminate the infamous waiting list for the world’s sole surviving coach-built sports car – customers ordering a car now can expect to be driving it well within a year.
