Mitsubishi’s rugged 4x4 Shogun Sport is ‘getting in shape’ ready for the New Year with a £2,000 price reduction across the range. The 2.5 Turbo Diesel Classic model with 5-speed manual transmission can now be purchased for only £16,999, with the range-topping Shogun Sport Warrior 3.0 V6 now peaking at £21,999 on the road.

Mitsubishi Motors is committed to giving customers the highest levels of product quality and reliability at a price that‘s right. In December 1999, Mitsubishi led the UK car industry by reducing its prices across the board by up to 15%. Mitsubishi’s ‘right car - right price’ philosophy has continued ever since and has proved the cornerstone of the company’s revival in the UK, increasing sales across the product range.

The Shogun Sport meets the continuing demand for a sporty, practical and comfortable SUV with the ability to seat 5 people, accommodate their luggage and adapt for lifestyle purposes. Put the folding seats down and there is enough room to easily fit a surfboard, fishing equipment or even mountain bikes. With a towing capacity of 2,800kg, the Shogun Sport is also the ideal vehicle to tow a caravan, Jet Ski or trailer alike.

Using Mitsubishi’s renowned 4WD system, the Shogun Sport has exceptional off-road ability over the toughest rugged terrain. With Easy Select, drivers can switch between 2WD and 4WD on the move at speeds of up to 62mph.

The entry-level 2.5 Turbo Diesel Classic Model with 5 speed manual transmission is now available for £16,999 and comes with colour-keyed bumpers, roof rails, tinted windows, central locking, sunroof, electrically adjustable and heated door mirrors. The Equippe model, with the option of either 2.5 Turbo Diesel or 3.0 V6 engines, comes with more equipment and is priced at £19,999.

Top of the Shogun Sport range includes the Elegance and Warrior models. At £21,999 the Elegance 3.0 V6 comes with automatic transmission. The most popular of the range is the Shogun Sport Warrior, which is available in 2.5 Diesel Manual for £20,999 and 3.0 Petrol Automatic for £21,999. The main features of the Shogun Sport Warrior include 18’’ alloy wheels, black leather seats, side steps, titanium-look dashboard trim, wheel arch extensions and a chrome front grille. The Shogun Sport Warrior is available in Pyrenees Black and Cool Silver.

In common with other Mitsubishi models, an extensive range of lifestyle accessories is available and a comprehensive warranty package comes as standard, which includes 3-year unlimited mileage, 3-year pan European recovery and a 6-year Anti-Corrosion Perforation warranty.
