J.T. Hughes Dealer Group Adds Mitsubishi Motors Brand To The Welsh Premier

The Mitsubishi Motors dealer group of J.T. Hughes of Newtown and Telford have taken over the sponsorship of the Welsh Premier and added the Mitsubishi Motors name to this new association. The league was formed in 1992.

The sponsorship announcement will be made on Wednesday 2 October 2002.

(Sponsorship value is undisclosed)

J.T. Hughes recognise this association will increase the Mitsubishi Motors brand awareness both on television and to the many thousands of supporters who watch football in Wales.

The Welsh Premier club management and playing teams will be able to buy Mitsubishi vehicles under the sponsorship agreement from J.T. Hughes dealerships.

Mitsubishi Motors are well known for the sponsorship of equestrian events including the world famous Badminton Horse Trials. They also sponsor the Premiership Rugby Union Club Bristol Shoguns, the Professional Cricketers’ Association and a World Rally Championship Team.

"It is only natural that with the reputation we have for sponsoring sporting activities, we should support J.T. Hughes in this ambitious venture," said David Miles, Press and Public Affairs General Manager for Mitsubishi Motors.
