Mitsubishi Colt Review
The Mitsubishi Colt was launched in the UK on the 1st September 2004 - this is the sixth generation Colt and it is a radical departure from previous models. It is the first full project between Mitsubishi and Daimler Chrysler using a shared platform strategy. The Colt is built at Mitsubishi’s plant in Holland, which is also home to the smart forfour.
Mitsubishi describe the new Colt as 'sleeker, sportier and sharper than its competitors, the Colt will appeal to customers that are seeking style, comfort, performance, safety and versatility'.
The Colt is available in two body styles 3-door and 5-door, with four engine choices a 1.1 litre, 1.3 litre and 1.5 litre petrol and 1.5 diesel. Prices start at £7,499 for the 3-door 1.1 Red - through to £12,999 for the range topping 3-door Colt 1.5 CZT. Transmission choice includes a 5-speed manual and 6-speed AllShift AMT automated manual (excludes 1.1 litre).
We tested the Mitsubishi Colt 1.3 Elegance - 5 door.
