MINI Stunts Not For The Faint Hearted

Published: 22nd October 2002
Michael Caine eat your heart out, MINI has reprised the stunt driving popularised in The Italian Job - in an indoor arena at the British International Motor Show.

Fans and owners of the MINI can enjoy seven performances a day throughout the two weeks of the Show of a 'MINI Adventure' involving professional stunt driving of three models of the car.

In a purpose-built arena the cars - a MINI One, MINI Cooper and MINI S - perform stunts reminiscent of the Italian Job. This is the centrepiece of a celebration of the re-launch of the MINI at the Show two years ago.

Trevor Horton-Berry, chief executive of MINI, said: “We are returning to out triumph two years ago and have come up with something that is very different. And like the MINI it turns heads, raises eyebrows and sets pulses racing.”

Horton-Berry added that all 40,000 MINI owners have been invited to enjoy a special MINI Bar as a “big British thank-you” for them buying the car. A new owners-only area of the MINI Website was also launched, along with a range of bespoke accessories including luggage.
