The new MINI JCW Hatch will go on sale late April 2015 priced from £22,865.
It will feature the most powerful engine seen in a production MINI, the petrol 2.0-litre TwinPower Turbo engine outputs 231 hp with 320 Nm of torque, which 10 per cent up on the power front and 23 per cent more torque than the outgoing model. The 0-62 mph sprint is recorded at 6.3 seconds with manual transmission or 6.1 seconds with the optional six-speed Steptronic box. The increase in torque improves the 50-75 mph time by 10 per cent at 5.6 seconds.
The official combined NEDC figures show the combined consumption with the manual gearbox is 42.2 mpg, with CO2 emissions of 155 g/km, whilst the Steptronic sees the fuel economy improve by 20 per cent to 49.5 mpg, with CO2 emissions of 133 g/km.
Standard equipment comprises Brembo brakes within 17-inch John Cooper Works Spoke light-alloy wheels, Dynamic Stability Control (DSC), Dynamic Traction Control (DTC), Electronic Differential Lock Control (EDLC) and Performance Control. Plus you benefit from LED headlamps with white indicators, wheel-arch surrounds and a bespoke radiator grille, side scuttles and tailgate with JCW badging.
The interior features bucket seats with integrated headrests in Dinamica/fabric, a multi-function steering wheel with shift paddles (in conjunction with Steptronic transmission), gear selector, instrument displays, stainless steel pedals and footrest, the Driving Excitement package and key.
Dynamic Damper Control and JCW 18-inch alloys are available as options as is the MINI Head-Up display (with rev lights and gear indicator), Chili Red roof and door mirror covers, bonnet stripes and exterior and interior John Cooper Works Pro design accessories.
