The MINI Clubvan is going on sale in the autumn of 2012 priced from £11,175 to £13,600 and as it is classified as a commericial vehicle theses prices are ex-VAT. VAT registered businesses can claim back the VAT, where applicable.
You will be able to see the MINI Clubvan at this year’s Goodwood Festival of Speed, which takes places between the 28th June and 1st July 2012.
Based on the MINI ‘Clubman’ - the Clubvan has blocked-out rear side windows which are body-coloured and feature interior polycarbonate reinforcement. The glass in the rear doors is tinted to ensure the load compartment is both secure and concealed from prying eyes.
MINI Clubvan has a footprint which is 3,961 mm long, 1,683 mm wide and 1,426 mm high, with a wheelbase of 2,547 mm. And is available in four exterior colours - Pepper White, Ice Blue, British Racing Green metallic and Midnight Black metallic. On the inside there are black seats with Cosmos fabric upholstery, a black interior colour scheme and Fine White Silver trim strips are standard. There options as with all MINI’s to customise the interior and exterior to suit.
The Clubvan’s cargo area is accessed via the two rear doors or via the Clubdoor on the driver's side. The load floor is completely and stretches back 115 cm and at its narrowest point just behind the rear doors, it is 102 cm wide. There is a strudy bulkhead made from a solid aluminium lower section with a steel mesh upper to protect the driver and/or passenger, it can be loaded right to the roof which measures 84cm at its highest point. This equates to 860 litres of space and a maximum payload capacity of 500 kg.
There will be three models; the 98 hp MINI One Clubvan (£11,175), the 122 hp MINI Cooper Clubvan (£12,475) and the diesel 112 hp MINI Cooper D Clubvan £13,600) – all prices plus VAT. All featuring MINIMALISM features such as Auto Start/Stop, Shift Point Display, Brake Energy Regeneration and on-demand operation of ancillary units.
Which all help to reduce the Clubvan’s carbon footprint - which means that the MINI Cooper D Clubvan has an official combined fuel consumption of 72.4 mpg, with CO2 emissions of 103 g/km putting into a low tax bracket.
All come with MINI's familiar front-wheel-drive set-up, Electric Power Steering, MacPherson strut front suspension, multi-link rear suspension and powerful brakes. A six-speed manual transmission is standard, but an optional six-speed automatic transmission is also available.Published 23 June 2012
