Streetwise Giants

New Rover Streetwise

The players from the Harp Lager Belfast Giants, also sponsored by Rover, are this week taking delivery of a full-body-protection equipped fleet of Streetwise vehicles. The major partnership deal, which provides each of the ice-hockey heroes with an exciting new Streetwise car by Rover, is a new dealer-linked initiative by the eight participating Rover outlets in Northern Ireland.

Streetwise is the new breed of ‘urban tough, on-roaders’ by Rover that is both versatile and stylish. Small enough to be fun to drive, its extra neutral-coloured body-protection is, like the Belfast Giants, up for handling the occasional knock. It’s also a fun car to drive, handy in traffic, yet easy to park.

Coach Rob Stewart said: "The Harp Giants travel all over Northern Ireland visiting schools and hospitals, so this is the perfect ‘fit’ for Streetwise to be seen on the streets of Belfast."

Michael Hoey, MG Rover Regional Manager for Ireland commented: "This is a fantastic sponsorship opportunity for the dealers in Ireland and we are truly excited to be involved. You can see how appropriate it is for the Giants to be driving the urban-tough Streetwise. It possesses nippy handling, great acceleration and a boot for all the kit. The Streetwise and ice-hockey have many great aspects in common."
