“Obviously we're based in the local area, so it makes sense for us to exhibit our new products here first. But I enjoy being in Birmingham because it means we're giving something back to our staff and our loyal customer base who regularly visit the Motor Show,” he added.
Peter was speaking on trade day at the Motor Show, when thousands of dealerships and fleet managers get their chance to see all the latest models and concept cars on display.
“It also gives us the chance to show off our latest cars, such as the X-Power SV, and give people a taste of the future, which we're doing by displaying the Rover Tourer Concept Vehicle.”
“Other manufacturers have embraced the retro look, but we don't believe that's a basis for the future.
“Our concept vehicle, which will be put into production
within two years, shows the direction we're going in - it's
a sensible tourer with lots of advanced features, but with
a bit of the 'wild spirit' of the X-Power thrown in for good
measure.”
