The flagship S-Class Saloon retained the luxury car title it has won every year since 2000. Fleet News said: "The S-Class remains the ultimate in luxury motoring. A comprehensive revision during 2002 has introduced a whole catalogue of improvements, particularly in the cockpit, along with new class-leading safety features. Tax-efficient engines and a long wheelbase version add up to an unbeatable package - one of the easiest choices any company head will make in the boardroom."
Dermot Kelly, Managing Director Mercedes Car Group, commented: "It's been a fantastic start to 2003 for Mercedes-Benz, and our products have won a brace of honours from across the motoring spectrum. For our models to win the endorsement of the expert Fleet News judges is high praise indeed. Business users and private buyers alike look to these awards to reflect excellence in the industry, and the judges' comments show that as well as being desirable, Mercedes-Benz motoring can be cost-effective, too."
The latest trophies bring the tally already awarded so far this year to 11.
