Mercedes Benz M-Class Inspiration

Mercedes-Benz has given its M-Class customers a reason to celebrate the New Year early, with the launch of the exclusive new Inspiration Edition.

M-Class has been hugely popular since its launch in 1997, with over 360,000 vehicles sold world-wide, while in the UK more than 22,500 have taken to the road. There will be just 900 Inspiration Editions adding to this impressive total, with a choice of three engines: the popular ML 270 CDI, a new V6 petrol-powered ML 350, and a powerhouse in the shape of the five-litre ML 500.

Among the inspirational extras are an exclusive interior trimmed with anthracite leather with contrasting grey stitching; upgraded 17" six-spoke alloy wheels; a choice of metallic paint finishes with a colour co-ordinated AMG front grille; and a Luxury Pack.

The Luxury Pack also includes an automatically dimming rear view and driver’s door mirrors; electrically-adjustable and heated front seats with memory; leather upholstery and trim (on AMG Sports Seats in this case); and designo anthracite wood trim (another exclusive Inspiration Edition feature).

Prices for the Inspiration Edition models start at £33,395 on the road (ML 270 CDI Inspiration); the ML 350 Inspiration is £36,680 on the road, and the ML 500 Inspiration costs £42,840. The five- and six-cylinder examples are an additional £4,000 over the standard models, the ML 500 is £850 more. Bearing in mind the extra standard equipment and exclusive appointments, the Inspiration Editions add exclusivity to a popular specification choice.

Every new M-Class sold through an authorised Mercedes-Benz Retailer in the UK comes with a three-year unlimited mileage warranty as standard. All cars feature mobilo-life, which gives an unrivalled 30-year anti-corrosion cover and breakdown warranty.

Complimentary off road driving tuition is also offered with every new M-Class. Located at a choice of 11 country estates around the United Kingdom, new owners enjoy a day of mud plugging with an unflappable, good-humoured driving expert.

After testing the M-Class’s standard 4-ETS electronic traction system and permanent four-wheel drive through a series of challenging natural obstacles, the owners enjoy a relaxed meal at the estate’s main house. Further off road "Masterclasses" and even overseas trips are also available for customers with specific off-roading needs or more adventurous tastes.

With a winning combination of ability and desirability, the new M-Class models will be an inspired choice for 2003.
