The 2002 British International Motor Show is playing host to the most impressive display of Mercedes-Benz power yet seen in the UK. Four cars, with over 1800 hp between them, make up the display.
  • 1800 hp on show in just four cars
  • From barn to 'bahn - 35 years of AMG manufacturing and racing
  • Family tree - AMG from the sixties through to today
  • Absolute power without corrupting - responsibility with every car
  • On-track success continues in DTM

There are two UK debuts - for the CLK 55 AMG Coupé and E 55 AMG Saloon. Also on show is the stunning SL 55 AMG Roadster - which is used by the FIA as the official Formula One World Championship Safety Car. Completing the quartet is an example of AMG's latest on-track products - a CLK-DTM German Touring Car, driven by ex-Formula One superstar Jean Alesi.

AMG's success in the UK is undoubted. Back in 1995 - the first full year of official models (the C 36 AMG), 161 units were registered. This year well over 1,000 new AMGs will take to the road - an increase of more than 700 per cent in seven years.
