Precautionary Inspection Of Wiper Arms On Mercedes-Benz Vaneo And A-Class Vehicles

Published: 30th September 2005

The Mercedes-Benz service organisation is asking owners of Mercedes-Benz Vaneo models built between April 2002 and the beginning of March 2003 and A-Class cars of the series preceding the current one and built between April 2002 and the end of April 2003 to bring their vehicles in to the workshops for a precautionary inspection.

In the worst case, cracks in the recess for the plastic covers of the wiper arms can cause the wiper arms to become detached. Customers are being written to individually; the inspection and, if necessary, replacement of the wiper arms are of course performed free of charge.
