Mercedes-Benz New Models And Enhanced Specification For 2006
Published: 15th June 2005
E 320 CDI
This 2987cc V6 diesel replaces the outgoing E 320 CDI.
This all-new turbocharged and intercooled engine is the same specification as that in the C 320 CDI, with 224 hp and 510 Nm of torque.
CLS 320 CDI - the order books are now open
In direct response to customer demand, Mercedes-Benz has announced the creation of the first saloon-coupé with diesel power - the CLS 320 CDI.
The CLS 320 CDI is the first car of its kind to offer saloon practicality, coupé looks and diesel economy mated to outstanding torque. Specification and trim levels will match those of the current CLS 350. The same optional equipment will be available at the same prices.
Engine and performance figures are comparable with the new E 320 CDI - 224 hp and 510 Nm. The 0-62.5 mph sprint takes only 7.0 seconds, making the CLS 320 CDI a truly invigorating diesel drive. The maximum speed is 153 mph.
The all-alloy engine complies with Euro 4 specification and, although not necessary to meet these tight regulations, a diesel particulate filter comes as standard.
The order books are open now for the first customer deliveries, which are expected in autumn 2005. The on-the-road price is £42,975.00.
