- The rear seats only really suited to children and consenting adults
What We'd Like To See
- Bi-Xenon headlights and parking sensors as standard.
Build Quality
The build quality, materials and finish are excellent and what you should expect of a car in this class and price bracket.
Value For Money
There is no doubt that the Mercedes-Benz CLS is an exclusive car which attracts a premium price tag. The base price of our car was £52,145 which increased to £59,105 with the options and of course the options made all the difference. I want Satellite Navigation (£10 short of £2000), plus I want Bi-Xenon Headlights (£1085) and it all adds up. Sometimes I wonder why manufacturers don’t bring out an 'it has got it all' version as that is the model I want.
The CLS comes with a three year unlimited mileage warranty and a 30 year anti-corrosion cover and breakdown warranty.
Overall Opinion
The CLS Class is a very welcome addition to the Mercedes-Benz model range, do not expect anonymity, this is a striking car with exceptional road presence and it attracted a lot of attention wherever we went.
Overall it is a cosseting, luxurious coupe and is an excellent touring car.
