Hot on the heels of the Saloon - the Mercedes Benz C-Class Estate was launched in the UK on the 1st March 2008.

The C-Class Estate is billed as a premium estate, with prices ranging from £24,057.44 for the entry-level model through to £51,564.99 for the range topping C63 AMG version.

There are three trims levels available, SE, Elegance and Sport, placing differing emphasis on comfort and agility and which are distinguished by unique radiator grilles.

There are a number of petrol and diesel engine options for the C-Class Estate, ranging from the petrol C180 (1796 cc/ 156 hp) through to the C63 hand-built AMG 6,208cc V8 fitted with a hand-built V8 AMG Engine (6208 cc / 457 hp )  capable of 0–62 mph in just 4.6 seconds.

We chose to test the Mercedes Benz C-Class Estate Sport with the 170 hp diesel 220 CDI engine coupled to a 5 speed automatic gearbox. The base price of our test car was £29,014.67
