Mercedes-Benz Recall Not An Issue For Binz UK Ltd
Published: 6th April 2005
The recent Mercedes global recall on 1.3 million automobiles for corrective work to a range of faults on models between 2001 to 2004, including the current E-, SL- and CLS-class models is a step to ensure the continued safety and reliability of its vehicles.
Binz UK Ltd, as a coachbuilder utilising the E-class Mercedes as a base for its high quality limousines and hearses, has a very close relationship with the Stuttgart manufacturer. Thus, Binz had been previously aware of some problems on earlier models. Binz UK Ltd had already taken steps to address any problems arising on its clients' cars and has already carried out remedial work to the few affected models.
The Binz limousines and hearses are the only conversions of the E-class to hold full European Type Approval and therefore have full Mercedes-Benz support. As a consequence, any client operating a Binz limousine, or hearse, who may be concerned about its integrity, may have their vehicle checked at any authorised Mercedes Benz dealership in Europe. However, Binz UK Ltd is satisfied that all known remedial work has already been carried out on its clients' cars.
