RX-8 To Take Fleet Market By Storm
Published: 28th August 2003
That was the verdict from key fleet decision-makers, after they had embarked on a near 200-mile drive in North Wales at the fleet launch of the car that is in a niche of its own in the UK market.
The Mazda RX-8 is a new departure for sports coupes, being a car that is both functional and exciting to drive and stunning to look at and is sure to change the way people think about sports cars.
Two models will be available at launch in October – a £20,000
192 PS variant and a £22,000 231 PS model – both of
which, due to Mazda’s price and specification philosophy,
are tax effective for company car drivers and cost-effective for
fleet operators due to a predicted three-year/60,000 mile residual
value of almost 50%.
Designed with both fun and functionality in mind, the Mazda RX-8
with its 1.3 litre rotary engine is a high-performance sports car,
featuring a unique freestyle door system allowing easy access to
the rear two seats with comfortable seating for four adults.
