Mazda comes back to Brighton for the first time in three years thanks to directors Malcolm Hance and Jeffrey Nailard of Rivervale Cars who have spent much of their careers developing the Rivervale brand name.
Malcolm and Jeffrey say the Rivervale Cars name stands for quality, reliability, courtesy and traditional values and will continue to do so.
The name Rivervale is already well known throughout the South Coast, renowned for its first-class motoring pedigree. The name has been synonymous with Mercedes-Benz in Brighton for more than 20 years. The new privately-owned company is dedicated to offering a personal, top quality service.
Jeffrey added: "Rivervale Cars continues these standards of excellence with an exciting and unique business. Through our multi-million pound, purpose built facility we offer an even greater choice of exceptional cars, first class service and the finest customer care.
"We believe in the Mazda product and the future of Mazda and hope to continue the success of the brand with an excellent market opportunity in the Brighton area.
Former managing director of Rivervale, Brighton, Malcolm has over 30 years experience in the motor industry, covering Audi, VW, Porsche and Mercedes-Benz. Jeffrey has over 18 years experience with Mercedes-Benz as an award-winning sales executive and former sales director of Rivervale, Brighton.
Finance specialist Eddie Dixon has been appointed business manager and sales specialist Oliver Maslin joins the company from outside the motor industry.
Rivervale Cars is a multi-million pound state-of-the-art sales, service and parts centre in Victoria Road, Portslade close to several other motoring retail outlets.
"I imagine we have one of the best Mazda showrooms in the UK with our brand new building thanks to the massive investment we’ve made in the facilities," commented Malcolm Hance, director of Rivervale Cars.
The complex will also include a centre for Rivervale Cars Prestige, due to open soon, a dealership offering an exclusive selection of desirable pre-owned, top specification cars, specialising in Mercedes-Benz and Porsche.
Rivervale Cars offers a dedicated service from a staff of 20, who include an experienced aftersales team and trained technicians working in Rivervale Cars’ dedicated service centre – an investment of around £70,000 in the latest technology including diagnostic and workshop equipment.
Paul Wagner, service manager, oversees the service centre along with service receptionist Martina Keep and parts manager Owen Porter.
Rivervale Cars is celebrating the opening of its new Mazda dealership in Brighton with a launch weekend on August Bank Holiday offering special offers and discounts to its customers as well as hosting the Southern FM Roadrunner team throughout the weekend. Rivervale Cars is currently running an ongoing advertising campaign with the radio station promoting its new dealership.
Rivervale Cars is open from 8am-6pm Monday to Saturday and closed on Sundays.Published 19 August 2004
