Mazda Motors UK Ltd Recognised For Outstanding Achievement

The award was presented to Philip Waring, Managing Director, Mazda Motors UK Ltd by Curtis Hutchinson, Editor of Motor Trader and Tim Tozer, Director Mondial Assistance.
The Motor Trader awards are amongst the most prestigious in the industry recognising the dealers’ and the manufacturer's business contribution to the industry beyond the product and looks at the industry as a whole rather than focusing on the product. The award was nominated by the Motor Trader panel of judges who unanimously voted for Mazda Motors UK Ltd as Manufacturer of the Year 2003.
The Manufacturer of the Year Award, sponsored by Mondial, is presented to the car franchise which has made an outstanding achievement in terms of network performance and product initiatives. With a high profile, product led renaissance covering key car sectors, the winner has become the most significant emergent car franchise, making it a brand to watch.
Motor Trader's panel of judges said of Mazda Motors UK Ltd: "Mazda’s turnaround has been a remarkable achievement. The company has gone from strength to strength with the roll out of its Mazda 2 supermini and the ever expanding Mazda6 ranges. It has also embarked on a recruitment drive for new dealers with many dealers beating a path to its door."
