Mazda MX-5 Arctic

Mazda has a new special edition, the Mazda MX-5 Arctic, to help you cope with the changeable British weather this summer. It is priced from just £17,000 for the 1.6i and £17,500 on-the-road for the 1.8i model, from 1 August 2004.

Fitted with air conditioning as standard, the Mazda MX-5 Arctic will keep you cool in the heat, while new blue heated leather seats will keep you snug on those chilly autumn days, allowing you to enjoy the thrill of open-top motoring, whatever the weather.

The Mazda MX-5 Arctic, which is fitted with a cloth soft top and unique design 15" alloy wheels as standard, is available with the lively 1.6-litre 110ps engine or Mazda’s popular 1.8-litre 146ps engine. These return 36.2mpg and 32.5mpg respectively on the Official combined cycle.

The Arctic adds high levels of specification to the standard Mazda MX-5, featuring remote central locking and deadlocking, a single CD player with two additional tweeters and a wind blocker with two built-in additional speakers, which is normally an option on the 1.6i model.

A number of interior and exterior great value for money features add to the ice-cool look of the Mazda MX-5 Arctic, with chrome scuff plates and side window garnish, black leather trimmed steering wheel, gear knob and handbrake lever to complement the blue leather seats, blue door trim and a colour-matched blue soft top cover.

A choice of three exterior colours include a new Razor Blue metallic, unique to Mazda MX-5 Arctic, as well as the popular Titanium Grey and Sunlight Silver - to complete the look on this special edition.

Mazda MX-5 Arctic customers also have the option to purchase an "ice-cool" accessories pack which includes rear style bar, sound board, chrome filler cap, chrome outer door handle finish and chrome door mirror finish. This is available at a special offer price of £499.95 RRP, which represents a customer saving of £375.

All the usual safety and convenience features of the Mazda MX-5 are fitted as standard to the Arctic model, including anti-lock brakes, Electronic Brakeforce Distribution (EBD), and seats with integral head restraints.

The Mazda MX-5 Arctic Special Edition is set to be a much sought after vehicle, just 2,000 are available in the UK.

The insurance group for the Mazda MX-5 Arctic remains unchanged from standard versions, with the 1.6i at 11E and the 1.8i at 12A.
