Stars Come Out For Mitchell Mazda Launch Night

The fact that the celebrities were actually look-a-likes hired for the evening enhanced the party atmosphere to mark the opening of the county’s newest Mazda franchise. Group managing director Mark Mitchell said the event was the Group’s most successful launch to date, attracting almost 400 guests.
The ‘celebs’ mixed with the crowd as a Diana Ross tribute act performed a set of her greatest hits. Attendees were also treated to valet parking on arrival from a clone of F1 champion Michael Schumacher, ahead of activities such as wine tasting and laser clay pigeon shooting.
"We wanted to make this night really special," enthused Mitchell. "The Mitchell Group is delighted to enter into partnership with Mazda and we wanted to reflect this with the entertainment for the launch evening. Seeing so many celebrities around the dealership was amazing and everyone had a great night."
Each visitor was given an ‘access all areas’ pass to view behind the scenes of one of the county’s biggest car showrooms. The tour included the dealership’s after-sales department, where guests could interact with its expert technicians and view the impressive automated Cardex carousel parts system. After relaxing in the executive airline first-class style lounge, the evening ended with a champagne farewell in the boardroom.
Philip Waring, managing director of Mazda Motors UK, also attended the event and officially opened the dealership.
"The opening of Mitchell Mazda is great news for Chester," he said. "The dealership will operate as one of our flagship sites in the North West and I’m sure The Mitchell Group will become a hugely successful dealer partner for Mazda, because Mark has incredible commitment to the customer experience."
"The Mazda dealer network continues to expand apace," added Waring.
Car buyers in Cheshire will already be familiar with Mark Mitchell and his team through their previous association with Lexus and Mitsubishi. The new site spans a massive 25,000 square feet and Mazda’s area encompasses a nine-car showroom and a 20 bay workshop.
