The Mazda3’s performance and handling are commendable but it is no hot hatch.

Value For Money

The Mazda3 2.0 Sport is excellent value for money at £15,500 and offers a high level of standard equipment at a very competitive price.

Conclusion

The Mazda3’s performance and handling are commendable but it is no hot hatch. Having driven two MX-5’s (1.6i and 1.8i Sport ) in the last year we were pleasantly surprised that the Mazda3 shares an MX-5 driving trait - that it makes the driver want to keep driving and if you are looking for a practical hatchback that doesn't compromise on fun then the Mazda3 comes highly recommended - It zooms to the top of our shopping list!
