Mazda2
Comfort and Refinement
The Mazda2's cabin is exceptionally spacious and due to its superb head, leg and shoulder room in both the front and rear, the Mazda2 can easily accommodate five adults. The seating features anatomically-correct seat frames helping to provide fatigue-free travelling for both driver and passengers. Both the driver's seat and the steering wheel are height adjustable enabling you to easily find the correct driving position. The Mazda2 is the 'What Car?' Comfort Test Overall Winner 2003 and deservedly so.
The Mazda2's level of refinement is high with the 1.6 Sport equipped with air-conditioning as standard, all-round electric windows, heated electric door mirrors, remote central locking, steering wheel mounted audio controls, single slot CD player with 6-speakers and a leather covered steering wheel.
On a practical level the Mazda2 incorporates large door bins, a map pocket in the rear of the drivers seat and an excellent lidded storage tray in the top of the dashboard. There are 2 cup holders which are positioned behind the gear lever and an innovative double glove box with removable waste bin (not illuminated) and a passenger-side shelf.
How It Looks - Exterior
The Mazda2 is both bold and modern with its subtly flared wheel arches and five-point grille it incorporates the unmistakable Mazda family styling. The build quality is impeccable as you would expect of a Mazda and unlike some supermini's the Mazda2 has the feel of a much larger car and benefits from the same attention to detail as its larger siblings.
15" alloy wheels are standard on the 1.6 Sport as are body coloured bumpers with side protectors to protect against light scratches and parking dents. Body coloured door mirrors and handles, front fog lamps and integral roof rails all enhance the Mazda2's looks.
