Mazda2
Ease of Use
The Mazda2 is a very easy car to drive and park as visibility is good all round with a large windscreen and side windows. The high driving position gives a commanding view of the road ahead and the high seating position and large doors make it particularly easy to get in and out of the car which would be ideal for people with mobility problems.
The dashboard is simple and uncluttered, the controls are tactile, eye-catching and intuitive to operate. The stereo was particularly easy to use with steering wheel mounted controls to keep your hands on the wheel for maximum safety.
The Mazda2's wide tailgate opening has a low sill to facilitate easy loading of bulky items also the rear seats and passenger seat fold flat transforming the vehicle into a small estate car for extra space when required.
Safety and Security
All Mazda2's feature MAIDAS ( Mazda Advanced Impact Distribution and Absorption System) which is an ingenious body structure design. This system distributes impact energy equally through the car to prevent the passenger cell deforming. If the Mazda2 is involved in a serious head-on collision the brake pedal decouples and is pulled away from the drivers legs reducing the overall risk of leg injuries.
The following safety & security equipment is standard on the Mazda2 1.6 Sport:
Driver and front passenger dual-stage airbags, Side airbags, Emergency Brake Assist (EBA), ABS with EBD (Electronic brake-force distribution), Remote central door locking, Dead locking, Alarm, Thatcham approved immobiliser and Seatbelt pre-tensioners.
