Milcars Group To Bring Mazda Back To Watford

The dealership in Otterspool Way will operate as one of Mazda’s flagship sites in the UK with a total area of 2,500 square metres dedicated solely to the Japanese manufacturer. It will house a display of 12 new cars and 50 used cars, 25 within the showroom, with facilities designed to offer first-class customer convenience levels, according to group managing director Christopher Ward.
"Milcars Mazda in Watford is a huge project for us," explained Ward, "We have invested large sums of money in the design and layout of the building to ensure its facilities will provide unrivalled levels of customer satisfaction for car buyers in the town.
"The project has been handled expertly by SDA in Leeds, who are one of the country’s leading motor trade architecture agencies."
Located close to J5 on the M1, the new showroom will see the opening of the Milcars Group’s second Mazda franchise alongside its other dealership in St Albans. Having started trading in the motoring industry in 1956 and enjoying success with other brands such as BMW, the Milcars Group is now solely a Mazda trade partner.
"Mazda has enjoyed such a fantastic re-birth in the last couple of years with new models like the sensational Mazda RX-8 and we are proud to be bringing its cars to a wider audience," added Ward.
Rob Lindley, sales director of Mazda Motors UK, expressed the company’s delight at returning to Watford and strengthening ties with the Milcars Group.
"I am really pleased to see Mazda returning to Watford as it is a lively and growing town. It is an important area and brings us closer to the completion of our UK Representation plan," he said.
"Milcars is one of our key retail partners," Lindley continued. "The St Albans site is the eighth best-selling Mazda dealership in the UK this year and it has been particularly successful since our new range of products in 2002, selling large quantities of our flagship model, the Mazda RX-8.
"On a personal level, I am particularly overjoyed to see Milcars developing this wonderful prestige facility in Watford. Not only does my mother live here but I also grew up in the town and attended Watford Grammar School. It’s always great to come back and nice to now have another reason to visit – I wish Christopher Ward and the team every success," Lindley enthused.
