Mazda Helps Fleets To Control Costs With Britain's Lowest Labour Rates

‘Fleet operating costs are continually under the corporate microscope and this survey shows for the second consecutive year that not only does Mazda have the lowest labour rates in the country, but that having Mazdas on the fleet will save companies’ money.’

Mazda has already revealed plans to double its network of fleet specialist dealers as it seeks to further expand corporate business. Currently Mazda has a 140-strong UK dealer network with seven established specialist fleet dealers. However, by the end of 2004 Mazda expects to have a network of 157 dealers of which 15 will be fleet specialists with a dedicated corporate sales manager and a sizeable corporate demonstrator fleet.

Mr McGonigle said: ‘Our dealers have, and will continue to play, a crucial role in the expansion of Mazda in the UK. We are continually working with our dealers to introduce new initiatives but always with a focus on cost control.

‘Mazda’s sales success (registrations are up almost 37% year-on-year) is due to a fantastic product line-up, but also to the work of our dealers at a local level, particularly in working closely with fleet customers to control costs.’
