Mazda6 Review
The Mazda6 Estate was launched in September 2002 hot on the heels of the best selling Mazda6 saloon. Mazda’s fleet success has been built around the Mazda6 and it has proved to be a hit with company car drivers and private owners alike.
The Mazda6 Estate range encompasses both petrol and diesel variants and an AWD version is available. Prices start at £15,600 for the 2.0 Estate S and rise to £19,200 for the 2.0 Estate TS2 (143) diesel.
According to Mazda - with the Mazda6 they have 'combined the legendary spirit of the Mazda MX-5 with the reassurance , reliability and cost-efficiency of a Mazda-built car'. We tested the Mazda6 Estate 2.0 TS priced at £16,600 to see if Mazda's Zoom, Zoom, Zoom philosophy is enough for the Mazda6 Estate to compete with class leaders such as the Ford Mondeo Estate, Peugeot 407 SW and the Vauxhall Vectra Estate.
