Mazda has enhanced the Mazda5 Venture models which now start at £19,995 for the petrol model and £21,290 for the diesel.
The choice of engines are a 2.0-litre (150ps) MZR petrol engine or a 1.6-litre (115ps) turbo-diesel costing – both driving the front wheels via a six-speed manual transmission. The petrol model on the official cycle offers 40.9 mpg, where the diesel is capable of 54.3 mpg. CO2 emissions are respectively 159 g/km and 138 g/km for the diesel.
The Mazda5 can seat 7-people with three rows of seats, the rear two rows being accessed by sliding rear-doors. The third row seats split 50/50 and fold flat to the floor, so that cargo volume is 857-litres when loaded to the belt line and 1,485-litres loaded to the roof.
The exterior has been revised with 17-inch Bright finish alloy wheels; black mirror covers, chrome exhaust tailpipe trim and power-folding door mirrors with integrated indicator lights. Additionally the Mazda5 Venture now includes rear parking sensors and reversing camera, a tyre pressure monitoring system, an auto-dimming interior mirror and smart turn signal.
You now have a choice of eight exterior paint finishes, four of them new – these are Arctic White (solid) and three Mica hues – Jet Black, Meteor Grey and Zeal Red. The original colours are Aluminium Silver, Clear Water Blue, Crystal White and Stormy Blue.
The interior now features Black cloth trim with red stitching and an auto-dimming interior mirror. Standard equipment includes front fog lights, sports front grille, side skirts, rear spoiler and privacy glass. Inside, there is a piano-black centre console and Sanyo TomTom navigation with 5.8-inch touch-screen display featuring integrated Bluetooth and iPod connectivity, plus climate control air-conditioning, cruise control and a six-speaker audio system.
