Mazda3 MPS
On a practical level the Mazda3 MPS incorporates 4 large door bins, front centre console with storage box, hinged storage tray and lid, 2 lidded cup holders in the front and in all the door pockets, rear armrest, 2 rear coat hooks, cigarette lighter, illuminated lockable glove box which is the largest we have come across in a car of this class. Seat back pocket on the passenger side, map reading lights and a luggage compartment storage box for the stowage of valuables and helpfully a luggage compartment light. The Mazda3's wide tailgate opening has a low sill facilitating easy loading of bulky items also the rear seats and passenger seat have a 60/40 rear split and fold flat for extra space when required.
Safety and Security 
As you would expect the Mazda3 MPS comes with Dynamic Stability Control (DSC) and Traction Control as standard. It is also equipped with a front mounted limited slip differential, to help combat torque steer under hard acceleration. Plus there is four-wheel anti-lock braking system with electronic brake force and emergency brake assist. The brake discs are ventilated both front and rear.
Comfort and Refinement
Like its siblings the Mazda2 and Mazda6, the Mazda3 has very comfortable and supportive seats with dial recline and height adjustment. The steering wheel is leather covered and is height and tilt adjustable enabling you to attain the perfect driving position. I would have liked to have seen an electrically adjustable drivers seat on this top of the range model.
The automatic climate controlled air-conditioning was particularly efficient and very easy to operate via large tactile dials.
The Mazda3 MPS's level of refinement is high and includes:
A trip computer, electric windows front & rear (one touch up and down all round), digital clock, cigarette lighter, illuminated front ashtray, panel light control with dimmer, headlight on reminder (audible), driver and passenger vanity mirrors, front fog lights, foot rest, exterior temperature gauge electrically adjustable and heated door mirrors and a leather covered gear knob.
