The Mazda2 attracts young buyers

Mazda2 has helped Mazda UK attract much younger buyers to the brand, says marketing director Mark Cameron.
The average age of buyers of the old Mazda2 was a rather worrying 62. "It's already much lower, into the mid-50s, and to do that, it takes a lot of much younger people to buy the car," Cameron told headlineauto.
The 3-door version of the Mazda2, on sale for just a month, takes Mazda UK into uncharted territory.
"It's only been on sale for a month and at the moment it's taking 30 per cent of Mazda2 sales.
"This will define the split for us which at the moment we expect to be around 50-50," says Cameron.
