The Lotus Elise 111S with the 116 kW VVC engine, one of the worlds greatest sportscars, has been updated for 2004. The new revised Lotus Elise 111S has been designed to offer greater comfort and accessibility yet retain its race-bred performance and looks.
The main change is the introduction of extra equipment including central locking and electric windows to enhance security and usability. In addition to this the 111S model also sees the newly developed 'Sound and temperature Insulation Pack' fitted to minimise sound intrusion into the cabin and full leather interior trim and carpets are fitted as standard.
Listening to suggestions from customers around the world, Lotus has looked into providing a definitive list of 'wants' for the Elise to make the range a fully complete package. Not only have the electric windows and central locking systems been developed, sunvisors and an insulated soft top (which keeps the cabin cool in summer, but retains heat during the winter months) have been added. In addition to this, interior storage space has been increased with the addition of a stowage net and a 4-speaker stereo system has been included. The windscreen washer bottle has been relocated to the engine bay helping to make routine operations effortless and immediate. The engine has now a red cam cover and a better gear selection. The Elise options list includes a new range of bespoke paint colours, Radio/Cassette with 6 CD multichanger, air conditioning and hard top.
