The Lotus Evora 400 has gone on sale priced from £72,000. First deliveries are expected in August 2015 for what will be the most expensive production road car from Lotus to date.
It will also be their fastest – with a 0-62 mph time of 4.2 seconds and a top speed of 186 mph.
Power comes from a 3.5-litre V6 engine producing 400 bhp with 410Nm on tap, which afforded it a six second advantage over the Evora S around the Hethel circuit – and makes it the most powerful production Lotus.
Standard equipment includes AP Racing brake discs, a Limited Slip Differential, automatic air-conditioning and infotainment system with satellite navigation. Should you wish you can add automatic transmission for an additional £2,000, cruise control £300, metallic paint for £900 and Alcantara / leather upgrades for £2,500.
The Black Pack option for £1,250 coats the roof, sills and centre section of the three-element rear wing in gloss black and adds a dark headlining to the interior. You can opt for yellow or black brake callipers for an additional £300. And to top you Evora 400 off there are light weight forged alloys for £2,000.Published 21 May 2015
