Alongside supporting players at the top end of the game, Lexus also support the up and coming players with the annual Lexus Golf Challenge. This year 25 Lexus centres from across the UK have been hosting golf competitions or sponsored events at local clubs.

The Lexus RX450h full hybrid luxury crossover will be used to transport Open Championship players Mark O'Meara and Nick Watney to and from the Royal St George's links.

Both players are Lexus brand ambassadors in the USA alongside Charles Howell III and Australian Jason Day who are also competing in The Open.

Alongside supporting players at the top end of the game, Lexus also support the up and coming players with the annual Lexus Golf Challenge. From each of these competitions teams of four players qualified for regional finals at Wentworth, Woburn and Royal Birkdale. The teams took part in a "Beat-the pro" competition with thee-time Ryder Cup European Team Captain, Bernard Gallacher.

Regional winners will the nmove on to the "Monty Day" final, with the opportunity to meet and play with Colin Montgomorie at the Kingswood Golf and Cuntry Club in Surrey in October 2011.
