From the Range Rover Evoque Pulse of the City project, Land Rover is offering an interactive Hollywood inspired film about choices.
The film 'Being Henry', which is a digital version of the 'choose your own adventure' style of storytelling, takes the consumer on a journey through a city in which they play the role of god, deciding the outcome of the story's main character. There are nine different storylines with 32 unique endings, with diverse consequences which ultimately result in the creation of the consumers 'subconscious' perfect Range Rover Evoque.
The story begins with Henry, the hero of the film who is an everyman-type character who has to make decisions throughout his journey which lead him into different realities. The consumer will be guided via a voice prompt and will be provided with a number of choices, including shooting rats with Granny, or leading Henry to be kidnapped and then tortured with a harpoon gun.
The choices that are made by the consumer on behalf of henry are then converted into the creation of a perfect Range Rover Evoque. References from the film will include colour, situational and emotional choices will be taken and used to present the fully personalised car.
Nick Gordon, the film's director comments: "I am really inspired by projects that push digital boundaries, and in creating interactive work that is designed to emotionally & creatively engage rather than be purely driven by technology. As a director I want to explore interactive pieces that are also filmic. Range Rover's commitment to one of the most adventurous collaborations I have ever been part of has been incredible, 'Being Henry' and has been a real learning curve for me on how creative interactivity is the future of really engaging with and respecting consumers."
The Range Rover Evoque provides the most personalisation options out of the Land Rover models, and includes interior packs, body and roof colour combinations, wheels and enhancement accessories, as well as three models (Pure, Dynamic, Prestige) that can come in either Coupe or 5-door versions.
The Range Rover Evoque can also be tailored with design, trim and technology options to match the customer's taste and lifestyle. Choices range from designer exterior packs, contrasting colours on the roof and spoilers, designer interiors, and a range of technologies to enhance comfort and enjoyment on board.
On sale from September 2011, the Range Rover Evoque prices start from £27,995.Published 4 January 2011
