Perrys Motor Sales Ltd, consistently one of the UK's leading motor retail groups, is pleased to announce the acquisition of the Stratstone Land Rover dealership in Luton. Perrys purchased the site from Pendragon for an undisclosed sum. The acquisition will also see Perrys retain the existing staff.
Commenting on the deal, Perrys managing director Ray Sommerville said: "The purchase of the Land Rover franchise in Luton is part of Perrys' overall strategic plan to grow the business through selective acquisitions in specific areas of the country, and to increase our stable of prestige marques." He continued "This acquisition is the first we have completed in 2006. We are always looking for suitable opportunities to increase our representation in areas that will compliment our dealership network, we hope to announce other successful acquisitions during 2007"
The new site has been rebranded Perrys and will be overseen by the group's central regional director, John Daley. He commented: "Perrys has a reputation for providing excellent customer service in all areas of our business. The company is continually investing in staff training and development, modern showrooms and first class facilities, our regular awards for excellence is testament to this. We are confident that customers - both new and old - will receive the standards of service they expect from this top 20 motor retailer."
This is the third Land Rover dealership for the Group, and has a strategic geographical fit as it is the first Perrys Land Rover dealership in the South of the country, with its existing dealerships in Huddersfield and Halifax in West Yorkshire.
