Land Rover Discovery Road Test

Land Rover Discovery 3
What We Disliked
- Nothing to dislike
What We'd Like To See
- Front & rear cameras when off-road
Build Quality
The Land Rover Discovery 3's build quality is superb - it is very, very good and is vastly improved over the previous model. Everything felt solid, and featured good quality durable materials.
Value For Money
At £43,495 OTR the Land Rover Discovery 3 TDV6 HSE might seem expensive but the HSE model is very well equipped offering the 6-Speed Adaptive Automatic Gearbox, 4 Corner Air Suspension with Terrain Response & Trip Computer, Bi-Xenon headlights, Harman kardon LOGIC7 audio and Premium Navigation System fitted as standard which some manufacturers would charge for as optional extras. With the Discovery 3 HSE model what you see is what you get - a complete vehicle package.
Overall Opinion
With the new Discovery 3, Land Rover has built a peerless vehicle that is as capable on-road as it is off-road. It is the bench-mark 4x4 that other manufacturers can only aspire to. The Land Rover Discovery is no longer an agricultural vehicle it is a premium vehicle capable of carrying 7 people in cosseting luxury.
The King is dead - Long live the King!
