Land Rover Discovery Review
Launched on the 1st November 2004 in the UK , the Discovery 3 is Land Rover's third incarnation of its legendary off roader. Although unlike the outgoing model this is not a face lifted compromise it is a completely new model.
Unlike a high performance sports car the Land Rover Discovery 3 has to appeal to wide audience and has to be a multi-purpose vehicle without compromise. It is the bench mark that all other off-road 4x4 vehicles will be compared to. It has to be as good on-road as it is trekking through the wilderness. It also has to appeal to the school run mum, the businessman, the wealthy land owner and the commercial user whilst remaining functional yet aspirational.
We drove the Land Rover Discovery 3 TDV6 HSE on a round trip from Devon to Northumbria on a family holiday to see if could be all things to all people.
