Lamborghini Gallardo Launched At Geneva Motor Show | Part Three

Lamborghini Gallardo

Lamborghini London anticipates first UK deliveries of right-hand drive cars in early 2004. Prices are yet to be confirmed but are anticipated at around £120,000. Dominic Lancaster, general manager of UK distributor Lamborghini London commented, “The Gallardo retains all the characteristics of Lamborghini’s high performance and individualistic styling whilst assuring the highest levels of build quality, comfort and safety expected from today’s performance cars. The Gallardo will appeal to drivers of cars such as the Ferrari 360 and Porsche 911 Turbo and has already attracted an unprecedented number of pre-launch orders. Gallardo, together with its big brother the Murciélago, provide a formidable offering to drivers wanting a car from the world’s most infamous performance car marque.”

The Gallardo takes its name from a breed of fighting bulls, following the tradition started by founder Ferruccio Lamborghini, born under the sign of Taurus. One of the five main breeds of fighting bull, the 18th century Gallardo stock were famous for their aggressive beauty and performance.
