The limited edition Lamborghini Gallardo SE (Special Edition) launched by Automobili Lamborghini SpA, will be available in the UK via authorised dealers Lamborghini London and Lamborghini Manchester. Limited to 250 units worldwide, the first UK deliveries will commence September 2005.

Based on the extreme and uncompromising Lamborghini Gallardo, the SE model benefits from several technical as well as aesthetic enhancements. The sports set-up of the permanent four-wheel drive car includes stiffened suspension and shorter gear ratios. An uprated engine provides acceleration of 4.0 seconds from 0-62 mph and an increased top speed of 195 mph. This enhanced performance is illustrated via the ‘thrust mode’ (or ‘launch control’), included on both the standard and Gallardo SE e-gear models, which optimises acceleration and gear change from a standing start.

Further modifications include more direct and precise steering to further improve handling. The 19" specially designed Callisto rims come with Pirelli P-Zero Corsa tyres, specifically developed for more ambitious driving.

The Gallardo SE is further set apart by its styling philosophy. The two-colour exterior is specified from six colour options: two grey shades as well as white, yellow, orange and green, all coupled with Nero Noctis black on the transparent engine cover, roof, front and rear spoiler as well as the side mirrors. Grey or yellow brake callipers are offered and the rear lights are slightly tinted. The interior echoes the exterior, with all the partially perforated handcrafted leather trim and stitching matching the main body colour. Additional internal features include the rear-view camera which, in conjunction with the built-in multi-media screen, facilitates parking. The Lamborghini shield is embossed on the headrests, the Lamborghini script is incorporated into the dashboard and, exclusively to the Gallardo SE, the vehicle identification number is embossed on a further shield.

A long list of standard equipment includes an exclusive car cover, and a list of further optional equipment is available including satellite navigation, a winter package and lifting system.

Lamborghini London and Manchester has commenced taking orders for the limited number of Gallardo SE models to be available in the UK, with customer deliveries commencing September 2005 and an anticipated price of £134,000.
