Lamborghini has produced the Aventador LP 700-4 Pirelli Edition in celebration of their partnership which has spanned over fifty years.
Their relationship was born in 1963 and every since all Lamborghini cars have been equipped with Pirelli tyres as standard.
The Aventador LP 700-4 Pirelli Edition is available to order now in either body format, Coupe or Roadster with a delivery date set for the summer of 2015.
The limited edition LP 700-4 Pirelli utilizes all the mechanical underpinnings of the standard AWD Aventador including the V12 700 hp power plant. Which is capable of 0-62 mph in an eye watering 2.9 seconds and a top speed in excess of 217 mph.
The LP 700-4 Pirelli Edition is available in two bespoke colour schemes, the first is matte black for the roof, the pillars, the rear view mirrors, the engine hood, and the front, rear, side and moving air intakes, in contrast with six glossy finishes for the rest of the body (Giallo Spica, Rosso Mars, Bianco Isis, Nero Aldebaran, Grigio Liqueo, and Grigio Ater). The second option is glossy black for the upper parts of the car and the air intakes, in contrast with four matte finishes for the rest of the exterior (Bianco Canopus, Nero Nemesis, Grigio Adamas, and GrigioTitans).
And as you would expect there is Pirelli detailing throughout the car with a thin red stripe that runs along the roof and the engine hood, the rear view mirrors, and the outer profiles of the air intakes, there is also Pirelli badging.
The exterior also features a transparent engine hood, the engine compartment in carbon, glossy black Dione 20’’/21’’rims, P Zero tires with red logo and red calipers (yellow only in the case of the Rosso Mars exterior).
The interior is blessed with black Alcantara upholstery with red contrast stitching. The red Pirelli stripe features on the inside, running along the ceiling and the seats, which feature the Lamborghini and Pirelli crests embroidered in red. There are leather inserts in the door panels and the seat sides.Published 21 December 2014
